Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PSCD1, or Phosphatidylserine decarboxylase 1, is a key enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of phosphatidylethanolamine, a crucial phospholipid component of cell membranes. This protein plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including membrane dynamics, cell signaling, and apoptosis. Research has indicated that PSCD1 is important for maintaining cellular homeostasis and modulating the immune response. Its dysfunction or altered expression has been linked to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. As such, PSCD1 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target, prompting the need for detailed studies on its structure and function. Recombinant PSCD1 proteins have been generated to facilitate these studies, allowing for in-depth analysis of its enzymatic activity, structural properties, and interactions with other cellular components. The recombinant forms of PSCD1 enable researchers to explore its role in phospholipid metabolism and to identify potential inhibitors that could serve as effective drugs. This research is vital for understanding the complex biochemistry of cell membranes and for developing novel therapeutic strategies for diseases associated with phospholipid dysregulation.
