Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTH2R, or Parathyroid Hormone 2 Receptor, is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family and plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, particularly in calcium homeostasis and bone metabolism. Research into PTH2R has gained momentum due to its potential implications in clinical settings, including its involvement in bone diseases and metabolic disorders. The receptor is activated by parathyroid hormone 2 (PTH2) and has been identified as having significant effects on neuronal development and function. Its activation can influence cell proliferation, differentiation, and hormonal secretion in various tissues, highlighting its importance in both endocrine and neurological contexts. Understanding the structure and function of PTH2R through recombinant protein studies can provide insights into its signaling pathways and biological roles. This research is critical for evaluating the therapeutic potentials of PTH2R modulators in treating conditions such as osteoporosis, hypoparathyroidism, and other metabolic disorders. Moreover, elucidating the receptor's mechanism may also pave the way for novel drug development targeting specific GPCRs, thus broadening the scope of therapeutic interventions in related diseases. The generation of recombinant PTH2R proteins is essential for validating receptor functionality and for high-throughput screening of possible therapeutic compounds, marking an important step forward in the field of molecular pharmacology and endocrinology.
