Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CAMK2B, or Calcium/Calmodulin-dependent Protein Kinase II Beta, is a pivotal enzyme involved in various cellular processes, particularly in neurons where it plays a crucial role in synaptic plasticity, learning, and memory. This serine/threonine kinase is activated by calcium and calmodulin, leading to phosphorylation of various substrates that influence cellular signaling pathways. The study of recombinantly expressed CAMK2B protein has gained significant attention due to its implications in neurodegenerative diseases and mental disorders, including schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders. Understanding the structure-function relationship of CAMK2B through recombinant protein studies can unveil potential therapeutic targets for modulating its activity. Researchers utilize techniques such as site-directed mutagenesis and protein crystallization to explore the enzyme’s conformational dynamics and interactions with its partners. Additionally, the development of specific inhibitors or modulators of CAMK2B could facilitate deeper investigations into its roles in specific physiological contexts and disease states. Overall, the recombinant expression of CAMK2B protein aids in deciphering its regulatory mechanisms and contributes to the broader understanding of calcium signaling pathways in the brain.
