Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TPH2 (Tryptophan Hydroxylase 2) is a crucial enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that plays a significant role in mood regulation, anxiety, and various neuropsychiatric disorders. Mutations and alterations in TPH2 expression have been associated with psychiatric conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, making it an important target for therapeutic interventions. The study of recombinant TPH2 proteins has gained momentum as researchers aim to understand the enzyme's structural and functional properties, which can provide insights into the mechanisms of serotonin synthesis and its regulation in the brain. Recombinant TPH2 proteins, produced through techniques such as recombinant DNA technology, enable detailed biochemical analyses, including enzyme kinetics, substrate specificity, and the effects of various modulators. Such studies contribute to the development of novel pharmacological agents that could potentially ameliorate serotonin-related disorders. Furthermore, investigating the recombinant forms of TPH2 aids in identifying the therapeutic potential of targeting serotonin pathways, thereby advancing our understanding of mental health conditions and offering new avenues for treatment.
