Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TPO, or thrombopoietin, is a crucial hematopoietic growth factor primarily responsible for the regulation of platelet production in the bone marrow. Its discovery has sparked significant interest in the field of regenerative medicine and hematology, given its potential applications in treating conditions such as thrombocytopenia, a disorder characterized by an abnormally low platelet count. Research into recombinant TPO (rTPO) has advanced significantly over the past few decades, aiming to produce synthetically engineered forms of the protein that can mimic its natural effects. The recombinant form has shown promise in stimulating megakaryocyte proliferation and maturation, leading to increased platelet production. Additionally, as rTPO can modulate the immune response and play roles beyond hematopoiesis, including possible applications in autoimmune disorders and certain cancers, its therapeutic potential continues to broaden. The ongoing studies focusing on optimizing production methods, enhancing the bioactivity of rTPO, and understanding its mechanism of action are paving the way for novel biopharmaceuticals, providing hope for patients who suffer from platelet-related diseases. Continued exploration in this area not only enhances our understanding of TPO biology but also contributes to the development of targeted therapies that may alleviate various hematological disorders, making it a vibrant and essential area of research in modern medical science.
