Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HAMP (hepcidin antimicrobial peptide) is a crucial protein involved in iron homeostasis and the innate immune response, primarily produced by the liver in response to various stimuli, including inflammation and iron levels. Research into HAMP has gained significance due to its role in regulating iron metabolism, which is vital for various physiological functions, including oxygen transport and cellular respiration. Dysregulation of HAMP can lead to iron overload disorders, such as hereditary hemochromatosis, or anemia of chronic disease, highlighting its importance in both health and disease. Additionally, HAMP's antimicrobial properties suggest its potential in combating infections. As a peptide that influences ferroportin, the only known iron exporter, understanding HAMP’s structure and function can unlock new avenues for therapeutic interventions in iron-related diseases. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production of HAMP, enabling researchers to explore its functions and mechanisms more intricately. Investigations into HAMP's interactions with other proteins and its impact on cellular iron regulation are ongoing, providing insights into the complex network of iron metabolism and its implications in human health.
