Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NPY (neuropeptide Y) is a crucial neurotransmitter involved in various physiological processes, such as appetite regulation, stress response, and circadian rhythms. Discovered in the 1980s, NPY plays a significant role in the central nervous system and peripheral tissues. Its diverse functions and involvement in multiple pathways, including those related to mood disorders and obesity, have sparked considerable interest in its potential as a therapeutic target. Research on recombinant NPY proteins has gained momentum, as these proteins can be synthesized in controlled environments, allowing for detailed studies on their structure, function, and interaction with receptors. Recombinant NPY is often utilized in experimental models to investigate its mechanisms of action, including its role in neuroprotection and metabolic regulation. The exploration of therapeutic applications, such as developing drugs for obesity management or anxiety disorders, is also a focus of ongoing research. Recent advancements in biotechnology and protein engineering have further enhanced the ability to produce modified forms of NPY with improved efficacy and specificity. Overall, the investigation of recombinant NPY protein continues to be a vibrant area of research, holding promise for novel treatments and a deeper understanding of neuropeptide signaling pathways.
