Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PPEF2 (protein phosphatase with EF-hand motifs 2) is a member of the protein phosphatase family that has garnered attention due to its potential role in various cellular processes, including signal transduction and the regulation of calcium homeostasis. Recent studies have implicated PPEF2 in several pathological conditions, such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases, highlighting its significance as a potential therapeutic target. The protein contains EF-hand motifs, which are known to facilitate calcium binding, suggesting that PPEF2 may be regulated by calcium ions and involved in calcium-mediated signaling pathways. Additionally, its expression patterns and subcellular localization suggest that PPEF2 may play a role in neuronal functions and muscle physiology. The investigation of PPEF2's structure and enzymatic activity through the expression of recombinant protein allows researchers to elucidate its mechanisms of action and biological significance. By generating PPEF2 in a recombinant system, scientists can study its phosphatase activity, substrate specificity, and interactions with other cellular proteins in a controlled environment. Such research could reveal new insights into the physiological roles of PPEF2 and its potential involvement in disease processes, paving the way for the development of innovative therapeutic strategies targeting PPEF2. Overall, the study of recombinant PPEF2 not only advances our understanding of its biochemical properties but also contributes to the broader field of protein phosphatases and their implications in health and disease.
