  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

BUB1B, a member of the BUB family of proteins, plays a crucial role in the regulation of the mitotic checkpoint, ensuring proper chromosome segregation during cell division. Mutations or dysregulation of BUB1B have been implicated in various cancers, leading to aneuploidy and tumorigenesis due to its failure to maintain genomic stability. The protein functions as a kinase, phosphorylating substrates that are essential for the assembly of the spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC). Given its pivotal role in maintaining chromosomal integrity, BUB1B has emerged as a potential target for cancer therapy. The study of BUB1B recombinant protein provides insights into its structure-function relationships, interactions with other cell cycle regulatory proteins, and the mechanistic pathways involved in checkpoint control. This research not only enhances the understanding of cancer biology but also aids in the development of novel therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring function or inhibiting aberrant activity of BUB1B in malignancies. With advances in recombinant protein technology, the generation of BUB1B in vitro allows for detailed biochemical and structural studies, contributing to the greater goal of elucidating its role in tumorigenesis and its potential as a biomarker for cancer prognosis.
