Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BBS7, a member of the Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) protein family, plays a crucial role in the cellular processes related to ciliary function and intracellular transport. BBS is a genetically heterogeneous condition characterized by obesity, retinal dystrophy, polydactyly, and other anomalies, which arise due to dysfunction in ciliated cells. Research into BBS7 and its associated protein complex, known as the BBSome, has gained momentum due to the critical involvement of these proteins in the trafficking of ciliary membrane proteins and the regulation of signaling pathways, such as Hedgehog signaling. Recent studies have focused on the structural and functional characterization of BBS7, revealing insights into its interactions with other BBS proteins and its role in maintaining ciliary integrity. Understanding BBS7's molecular mechanisms may not only deepen our knowledge of the pathophysiology of BBS but also offer potential therapeutic targets for managing BBS and related ciliopathies, highlighting the importance of continued research in this field.
