Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PRDM16 is a zinc-finger protein that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly in brown adipose tissue (BAT) development and function. Research has highlighted its importance in mediating the differentiation of adipocytes and the promotion of thermogenesis, offering potential insights into metabolic health and obesity. PRDM16 acts as a transcriptional activator, influencing pathways related to energy expenditure and fat storage, and its dysregulation has been implicated in metabolic disorders. The growing interest in PRDM16 arises from its potential therapeutic implications for obesity and related diseases, motivating studies that involve the generation of recombinant PRDM16 proteins. These recombinant proteins are essential for elucidating the molecular mechanisms by which PRDM16 operates, including its interactions with other proteins and its effects on transcriptional networks. By examining PRDM16 in various experimental systems, researchers aim to clarify its role in energy metabolism, identify novel targets for drug development, and explore its feasibility as a biomarker for metabolic disorders. Understanding the precise functions and mechanisms of recombinant PRDM16 will further advance our knowledge of metabolic regulation and facilitate the development of innovative strategies to combat obesity and its associated health complications.
