Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VAPA (VAMP-associated protein A) is a crucial player in the regulation of intracellular membrane trafficking and lipid homeostasis. Its involvement in various cellular processes, including vesicle formation, fusion, and transport, has garnered significant interest in the field of cell biology. The study of VAPA has expanded due to its association with various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer, where dysregulation of lipid metabolism and membrane dynamics is often observed. Researchers are particularly focused on understanding the structural and functional properties of VAPA, which serves as a tethering protein that facilitates the interaction between different membrane-bound compartments. The development of recombinant VAPA proteins has allowed scientists to investigate its biochemical properties and interactions in detail, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions. By employing techniques such as cryo-electron tomography and X-ray crystallography, researchers aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which VAPA operates within the cell, contributing to our broader understanding of membrane biology and its implications in health and disease. The integration of VAPA research with advancements in protein engineering and synthetic biology holds promise for novel applications in drug delivery and biotechnology, indicating that VAPA may play a pivotal role not only in fundamental cellular processes but also in innovative therapeutic strategies.
