Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PDSS2 (Prenyl Diphosphate Synthase Subunit 2) is a crucial enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of isoprenoids, a large class of organic compounds essential for various biological processes. Isoprenoids play significant roles in cellular functions, contributing to the formation of hormones, vitamins, and other vital biomolecules. Mutations in the PDSS2 gene can lead to various metabolic disorders, highlighting its importance in maintaining cellular health. The study of PDSS2 recombinant proteins is pivotal for understanding its structure-function relationship, enzymatic mechanism, and the implications of genetic variations on its activity. By producing PDSS2 as a recombinant protein, researchers can conduct detailed biochemical assays, structural analyses, and interaction studies, providing valuable insights into the enzyme's role in the isoprenoid biosynthetic pathway. Furthermore, understanding PDSS2's function may reveal potential therapeutic targets for diseases linked to isoprenoid metabolism. This research is not only fundamental in advancing our knowledge of metabolic pathways but also holds promise for drug development and personalized medicine approaches targeting metabolic disorders associated with PDSS2 dysfunction.
