Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDH18, or Protocadherin 18, is a member of the protocadherin family, which plays a critical role in the establishment and maintenance of neuronal connections and the regulation of synaptic functions. Recent studies have highlighted its significance in various neurological disorders, including epilepsy, schizophrenia, and autism spectrum disorders. PCDH18 is known to influence cell-cell adhesion and signal transduction, contributing to neural development and synaptic plasticity. Understanding its molecular mechanisms and biological functions is vital for unraveling the complexities of neural circuits and developing potential therapeutic strategies. The production and characterization of recombinant PCDH18 protein are crucial for elucidating its structure-function relationship and its interactions with other proteins in neuronal networks. By studying the recombinant form of PCDH18, researchers aim to gain insights into its role in neuronal signaling pathways and explore how alterations in its function may contribute to neurodevelopmental disorders. This line of research holds promise for identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets, potentially leading to innovative treatments for conditions where PCDH18 is implicated.
