  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PAPSS2 (3'-phosphoadenosine-5'-phosphosulfate synthase 2) is a vital enzyme involved in sulfate metabolism, playing a key role in the biosynthesis of sulfated carbohydrates and other sulfated molecules, which are crucial for various biological processes. Mutations in the PAPSS2 gene are linked to skeletal abnormalities, such as the rare condition known as "sulfate transport deficiency," underscoring its significance in human health. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant expression of PAPSS2 to better understand its enzymatic mechanisms and regulatory pathways. The ability to produce PAPSS2 in vitro allows researchers to investigate its structural and functional characteristics, providing insights into its role in sulfation processes. Understanding PAPSS2 at the molecular level could open avenues for therapeutic interventions aimed at alleviating the effects of associated genetic disorders. Moreover, recombinant PAPSS2 can serve as a valuable tool in glycomics research, enhancing our understanding of sulfate modifications on glycoproteins and proteoglycans, which have implications for cell signaling and development. The exploration of PAPSS2's function and regulation through recombinant protein studies is expected to contribute significantly to the broader field of glycobiology and its applications in medicine.
