稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PANK3, or pantothenate kinase 3, is a key enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of coenzyme A (CoA), a vital cofactor necessary for numerous metabolic processes, including fatty acid synthesis and energy production. Research into PANK3 has gained prominence due to its role in metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, particularly given its association with pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration (PKAN), a form of neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation. Studies have shown that mutations in the PANK3 gene can lead to impaired CoA levels, disrupting various metabolic pathways and contributing to the pathology of these conditions. The recombinant PANK3 protein has become a focal point for research, as it offers a means to study the enzyme’s structure and function in detail. Understanding the precise mechanisms of PANK3 activity can provide insights into its regulatory roles and the impact of specific mutations on enzyme function. Furthermore, the ability to express PANK3 as a recombinant protein paves the way for high-throughput screening of potential therapeutic compounds that could restore normal function and mitigate the effects of related diseases. Additionally, recombinant PANK3 can be utilized in enzyme assays and structural biology studies to elucidate its interactions with substrates and inhibitors, enhancing our understanding of CoA metabolism and its broader implications in human health.
