Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Hers protein, a key player in the regulation of glycogen metabolism, has garnered significant attention in recent years due to its potential implications in metabolic disorders, particularly diabetes and obesity. Research into Hers protein, which is an isoform of glycogen phosphorylase, highlights its role in catalyzing the breakdown of glycogen into glucose-1-phosphate. Dysregulation of this enzyme can lead to abnormal glucose homeostasis, contributing to insulin resistance and impaired glucose uptake in tissues. Studies have demonstrated that varying expression levels of Hers protein in different tissues influence overall glycogen storage and mobilization, making it a vital target for therapeutic interventions. Additionally, the exploration of Hers protein in the context of cellular signaling pathways has revealed its interaction with various kinases and regulatory molecules, further elucidating its involvement in energy metabolism. Ongoing research aims to isolate and characterize recombinant forms of Hers protein to facilitate in-depth functional studies and drug discovery efforts aimed at mitigating metabolic diseases. Understanding the precise mechanisms through which Hers protein operates in glycogen metabolism may pave the way for novel approaches to manage and prevent conditions associated with metabolic dysregulation.
