Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
APOL5 (Apolipoprotein L5) is a member of the apolipoprotein family, which plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism, immune response, and the transport of various biomolecules. Recent studies have highlighted the potential significance of APOL5 in the context of several diseases, including cardiovascular disorders, inflammation, and certain infections. The gene encoding APOL5 is located on chromosome 22 and exhibits expression primarily in the liver and other tissues involved in energy homeostasis. Notably, APOL5 stands out due to its involvement in the modulation of immune responses against parasites and its potential role in host defense mechanisms. In light of its various biological functions, researchers are increasingly interested in characterizing the recombinant APOL5 protein to better understand its properties and interactions. The recombinant protein production allows for detailed studies on protein structure, function, and its mechanisms of action, facilitating the exploration of APOL5 as a therapeutic target or biomarker. Furthermore, by examining its interactions with lipids and other proteins, scientists aim to delineate its role in metabolic pathways and disease processes, with the ultimate goal of advancing our knowledge of its potential implications in human health and disease.
