Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR5P2 is a member of the olfactory receptor family, which plays a crucial role in the detection of odorants and the modulation of sensory perception. The understanding of OR5P2 is significant due to its potential implications in neuroscience, pharmacology, and biotechnology. Research indicates that olfactory receptors, including OR5P2, are not limited to the olfactory system; they have also been implicated in various non-sensory functions, such as the regulation of cellular processes and immune responses. The molecular structure of OR5P2 provides insights into its activation mechanisms and ligand binding, making it a target of interest for drug discovery and therapeutic applications. Furthermore, the characterization of OR5P2 as a recombinant protein enables scientists to study its properties in a controlled environment, including its interaction with specific ligands and downstream signaling pathways. The expression and purification of OR5P2 as a recombinant protein facilitate high-throughput screening assays, which may lead to the identification of novel compounds that modulate its activity. Overall, the study of OR5P2 and its recombinant form holds promise for unraveling the complexities of olfactory signaling and expanding our understanding of receptor biology.
