Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SULT2B1 (Sulfotransferase 2B1) is an important member of the sulfotransferase enzyme family, which plays a crucial role in the biotransformation of a variety of endogenous and exogenous compounds. This enzyme catalyzes the sulfation process, a critical phase II metabolic reaction that increases the water solubility of compounds, thus facilitating their excretion from the body. SULT2B1 is known to sulfoconjugate steroids, catecholamines, and various xenobiotics, impacting their biological activity and pharmacokinetics. Research into SULT2B1 has garnered interest due to its potential implications in drug metabolism, hormone regulation, and the pathogenesis of diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders. Abnormal expression or activity of SULT2B1 may contribute to altered drug responses and susceptibility to diseases. Additionally, the recombinant expression of SULT2B1 allows for the detailed study of its enzymatic properties, substrate specificity, and interaction with various inhibitors. This background has spurred investigations aimed at elucidating the structural and functional characteristics of SULT2B1, ultimately contributing to a better understanding of its role in human health and disease, as well as its potential as a therapeutic target. By producing and characterizing recombinant SULT2B1, researchers aim to develop tools for pharmacogenomic studies and to explore therapeutic strategies that could mitigate the adverse effects of pharmaceutical agents.
