Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR4D5 is a member of the olfactory receptor family, playing a crucial role in the detection of odors and chemical signals in the environment. Although olfactory receptors are primarily studied for their function in sensory perception, OR4D5 has garnered interest due to its potential involvement in various physiological processes beyond olfaction, including immune responses and neurological functions. Recent studies have indicated that olfactory receptors may be expressed in tissues outside of the nose, suggesting broader biological roles. The recombinant expression of OR4D5 is significant for understanding its structure-function relationships, ligand binding characteristics, and potential pathways it may influence. Furthermore, investigating OR4D5 could reveal insights into how olfactory receptors contribute to human health and disease, particularly in conditions related to neurodegenerative diseases or immune dysregulation. As a result, research focusing on the recombinant production, characterization, and functional analysis of OR4D5 is vital to elucidate its biological significance and therapeutic potential. This could pave the way for novel approaches in biomedical applications, including drug development and targeted therapies that exploit the unique properties of olfactory receptors like OR4D5.
