Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
STMN2, or Stathmin-2, is a microtubule-destabilizing protein that plays a crucial role in neuronal development and function. It is involved in the regulation of microtubule dynamics, which are essential for processes such as neuronal growth, differentiation, and intracellular transport. Recent studies have shown that STMN2 is not only vital for maintaining cellular structure but also has implications in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer's disease. The understanding of STMN2's function has garnered significant attention within the field of neuroscience, as alterations in its expression levels are frequently associated with neuronal pathologies. The recombinant expression of STMN2 allows researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, interaction with microtubules, and potential regulatory mechanisms. By producing STMN2 in a controlled laboratory environment, scientists can delve deeper into its structural characteristics and functional roles, thereby paving the way for therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating its activity in disease contexts. Overall, the study of STMN2 and its recombinant protein provides critical insights into the intricate balance of cytoskeletal dynamics and its impact on neuronal health, highlighting its potential as a target for future research and drug development in neurodegenerative disorders.
