Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR2C3 is a member of the olfactory receptor gene family, which plays a crucial role in the sensory perception of smell. This G-protein-coupled receptor is predominantly expressed in the olfactory epithelium, where it contributes to the detection of specific odorant molecules. Research on OR2C3 has gained momentum due to its involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, including the potential modulation of emotional and behavioral responses through olfactory signaling pathways. Moreover, emerging studies suggest that OR2C3 may play a role in the development of certain diseases, possibly through its interactions with odorants or other cellular pathways. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production and purification of OR2C3, allowing for in-depth functional studies and providing insights into its structural characteristics and ligand-binding mechanisms. Understanding OR2C3's functionality can lead to significant implications in sensory biology and may inform therapeutic strategies for olfactory dysfunction and other related disorders. This research not only enhances our comprehension of human olfactory receptors but also opens avenues for exploring novel targets for drug development and the potential application in biotechnology and flavor industries.
