Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AGBL4, or cytosolic carboxypeptidase AGBL4, is a member of the α/β hydrolase superfamily that has garnered interest due to its potential role in critical cellular processes, including protein homeostasis and post-translational modification. Research into AGBL4 has revealed its involvement in the regulation of microtubule dynamics, which are essential for various cellular functions such as division, transport, and signaling. Aberrant regulation of microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs) by AGBL4 may have implications in diseases characterized by cytoskeletal dysfunction, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. The enzyme is thought to interact with various substrates, affecting their stability and function. Understanding the structure and function of AGBL4 through recombinant protein studies can provide insights into its enzymatic mechanisms and regulatory roles. Such studies can also pave the way for the development of specific inhibitors or modulators that could have therapeutic potential. Investigating AGBL4 in a recombinant context allows researchers to explore its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and the molecular pathways it influences. This research background underscores the importance of AGBL4 as a promising target for drug development and a key player in maintaining cellular integrity, warranting further exploration into its biological significance and therapeutic applications.
