稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR13C8 is a member of the olfactory receptor gene family, which plays a critical role in sensory perception, particularly in the detection of odors. Research on OR13C8 is significant as it contributes to our understanding of the olfactory system and its molecular mechanisms. The OR13C8 gene has garnered interest due to its potential involvement in the recognition of specific odorants that may influence behavior, reproduction, and ecological interactions among species. Additionally, variations in olfactory receptors like OR13C8 can provide insights into human sensory perception and its evolutionary adaptations. The study of OR13C8 is further advanced by recombinant protein technology, allowing researchers to express and purify the receptor in a laboratory setting, facilitating detailed functional assays and binding studies. These investigations aim to elucidate the receptor's ligand specificity and signal transduction pathways, which could have implications for the development of novel odorant-based applications in fields such as perfumery, flavor enhancement, and even therapeutic interventions for olfactory dysfunctions. Understanding the role of OR13C8 in olfaction embodies a broader approach to deciphering the complex interplay between genes, receptors, and sensory experiences, ultimately enriching our knowledge of human sensory biology and its evolutionary context.
