Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
XRCC1 (X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1) is a crucial protein involved in the DNA repair process, particularly in the base excision repair (BER) pathway. It plays a significant role in maintaining genomic stability by facilitating the repair of single-strand breaks induced by various agents, including ionizing radiation and chemical mutagens. Research on XRCC1 has gained importance due to its implications in cancer biology; mutations or polymorphisms in the XRCC1 gene can affect an individual's susceptibility to cancer and influence the efficacy of cancer therapies. Studies have demonstrated that XRCC1 interacts with several key repair enzymes, acting as a scaffold to coordinate the repair machinery. Additionally, understanding the structural and functional properties of XRCC1 can provide insights into its role in responding to DNA damage and its potential as a therapeutic target. With advancements in biotechnology, the recombinant expression and purification of XRCC1 provide a powerful tool for elucidating its mechanisms and interactions at the molecular level. Such studies may also pave the way for the development of novel strategies for cancer treatment and prevention by targeting DNA repair pathways. Overall, ongoing research on XRCC1 is pivotal for unraveling the complexities of DNA repair mechanisms and their significance in human health.
