Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EIF2C4, also known as Argonaute 4 (AGO4), is a crucial component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) and plays a significant role in the regulation of gene expression through RNA interference (RNAi) mechanisms. It is involved in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene silencing by binding to small RNAs, particularly microRNAs (miRNAs) and small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), and guiding them to target mRNAs for degradation or translational repression. The importance of EIF2C4 has been underscored by its involvement in various biological processes, including development, cell differentiation, and response to environmental stress. Additionally, aberrations in RNAi pathways, including those involving EIF2C4, have been linked to several diseases, including cancers and viral infections. Recent advances in biotechnology have allowed for the production of recombinant EIF2C4 protein, enabling researchers to study its structure, function, and interactions in detail. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying EIF2C4 activity could provide insights into the regulatory networks of gene expression and potentially reveal new therapeutic targets for diseases related to RNAi dysregulation. As RNAi-based therapies continue to evolve, the characterization of EIF2C4 and its role in gene silencing remains a focal point of molecular biology research, with implications for both fundamental science and clinical applications.
