  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Mer receptor tyrosine kinase (Mer) is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including immune response, cell survival, and inflammation. Its significance has garnered attention in the context of cancer research, as Mer is often found to be overexpressed in several malignancies, where it contributes to tumor progression, metastasis, and resistance to therapies. The study of Mer and its associated pathways is vital for understanding the mechanisms behind tumorigenesis and the tumor microenvironment. Research has also focused on Mer's role in phagocytosis, particularly in the clearance of apoptotic cells, which is essential for maintaining tissue homeostasis and preventing autoimmune diseases. Furthermore, recent advances in molecular biology have enabled the development of Mer-targeted therapies, making it a promising candidate for drug development. By investigating the structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms of Mer, researchers aim to uncover novel therapeutic strategies that could enhance cancer treatment efficacy and mitigate the challenges of drug resistance, thereby improving patient outcomes in oncology. The ongoing exploration of Mer signaling pathways and their implications in various diseases positions this receptor as a valuable target for innovative therapeutic interventions.
