Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
XYLT1 (xylosyltransferase 1) is a key enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which are critical components of the extracellular matrix and play essential roles in cellular functions such as cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation. This enzyme catalyzes the transfer of xylose residues to serine or threonine residues of core proteins, forming the glycosaminoglycan-protein linkage region that is crucial for the synthesis of heparan sulfate and other GAGs. Research on XYLT1 has gained significance due to its potential implications in various pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis, tissue repair, and developmental disorders. Aberrant function of XYLT1 may lead to impaired GAG synthesis, contributing to diseases such as congenital disorders of glycosylation and certain types of cancer. Furthermore, the understanding of XYLT1's role may provide insights into therapeutic approaches aimed at modulating GAG synthesis for the treatment of these conditions. The study of recombinant XYLT1 protein allows for a detailed investigation of its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and regulation, which is crucial for unraveling its biological functions and potential as a therapeutic target. This research not only enhances our understanding of GAG biology but also evaluates the enzyme's potential in biotechnological applications, such as the engineering of glycosylation patterns in therapeutic proteins and the development of novel biomaterials.
