Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC25A13, also known as the mitochondrial aspartate/glutamate carrier, is encoded by the SLC25A13 gene and plays a critical role in the transport of key metabolites across the mitochondrial membrane. This protein is particularly significant in the context of various metabolic disorders, such as neonatal intrahepatic cholestasis due to citrin deficiency (NICCD), which is caused by mutations in the SLC25A13 gene. Research into recombinant SLC25A13 protein has gained attention as it allows for the functional characterization of the protein and exploration of its transport mechanisms. By producing this protein in a controlled laboratory setting, scientists can investigate its biochemical properties, substrate specificity, and interactions with other mitochondrial transporters. This research not only aids in understanding the pathophysiology of related metabolic diseases, but also provides potential avenues for developing therapeutic strategies. Moreover, recombinant SLC25A13 can be utilized in drug screening processes and in the study of mitochondrial function in health and disease. Hence, studying recombinant SLC25A13 protein is pivotal for advancing our knowledge of mitochondrial transport processes and addressing the clinical implications of its deficiencies.
