Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTMA, or Prothymosin Alpha, is a small, highly acidic protein that plays significant roles in various biological processes, including immune response, cell differentiation, and apoptosis regulation. The interest in PTMA as a recombinant protein stems from its potential therapeutic applications, particularly in oncology and immunology. Studies have shown that PTMA can influence the proliferation of cancer cells and enhance the immune system's ability to fight tumors. Additionally, its role in modulating apoptosis highlights its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Given its multifunctional nature, scientists have sought to produce PTMA recombinantly to better understand its structure-function relationships and to explore its utility in clinical settings. This includes developing PTMA-based therapies that could improve cancer treatment outcomes or leveraging its properties to create novel immunotherapeutic agents. Research into the recombinant expression and purification of PTMA has accelerated, aiming to optimize yield and activity for further experimental applications. The recombinant PTMA holds promise not only as a research tool but also as a potential biomarker for certain diseases, adding another layer of intrigue to its study. Thus, understanding the complexities of PTMA and advancing its recombinant production are pivotal for unlocking its full therapeutic potential across various medical fields.
