Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NRCAM (Neuronal Cell Adhesion Molecule) is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the nervous system. It is primarily expressed in neurons and has been implicated in various cellular processes, including neuronal differentiation, synaptic formation, and cell signaling. Research on NRCAM has gained significance due to its potential involvement in neurological disorders, such as autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia, where altered cell adhesion may affect synaptic connections. Furthermore, NRCAM's structure features multiple immunoglobulin-like domains, which are important for protein-protein interactions during neural development, making it a compelling target for recombinant protein studies. The production of recombinant NRCAM protein allows researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, functional mechanisms, and interactions with other molecules, providing insights into its role in neuronal networks. Such studies can aid in understanding how dysfunctions in NRCAM contribute to neurological diseases and may eventually lead to novel therapeutic strategies. Overall, NRCAM is a focal point of neuroscience research, linking cellular adhesion to broader implications in brain function and pathology.
