Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Cholinergic neurotransmission plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, and the alpha10 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (CHRNa10) is a key modulator of this system, primarily influencing auditory processing and cognitive functions. Research has shown that CHRNa10 is involved in the regulation of neurotransmitter release and synaptic plasticity, making it a significant target for understanding neurophysiological mechanisms and potential therapeutic avenues for neurological disorders. The study of CHRNa10 recombinant proteins is pivotal in elucidating the receptor's structure-function relationship, providing insights into ligand binding, ion channel activity, and its interactions with other proteins. Such investigations are essential for developing drugs aimed at modulating cholinergic signaling pathways, which could have implications for treating conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, and addiction. Moreover, the expression of CHRNa10 in various cellular systems allows for the assessment of its pharmacological properties and the mapping of its signaling pathways. Overall, ongoing research into CHRNa10 recombinant proteins holds promise for advancing our understanding of cholinergic signaling and its broader implications in neurobiology.
