Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ABCA5 (ATP-binding cassette sub-family A member 5) is an important member of the ABCA subfamily of transporters, primarily involved in lipid transportation and metabolism. Research has shown that ABCA5 plays a crucial role in the intracellular processing of cholesterol and phospholipids, significantly contributing to the formation of lipid droplets and cellular homeostasis. It has been implicated in various physiological processes, including the regulation of cellular cholesterol levels and the maintenance of membrane integrity. Additionally, emerging studies suggest that ABCA5 may have a protective role in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease, by modulating amyloid-beta metabolism and clearance. Given its potential involvement in disease mechanisms, ABCA5 has garnered attention as a therapeutic target. Studies investigating the expression, functional roles, and regulatory mechanisms of ABCA5 provide insights into its significance in health and disease. Understanding the pathways and interactions of ABCA5 at the molecular level is essential for developing novel strategies for intervention in lipid-related disorders and neurodegenerative conditions. The recombinant expression of ABCA5 protein facilitates these studies, allowing researchers to elucidate its functional properties and interactions in a controlled environment, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of its role in cellular physiology and potential implications in disease.
