Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is a key regulatory hormone involved in calcium and phosphate homeostasis. Research on recombinant PTH (rhPTH) has gained significant attention due to its potential therapeutic applications in treating osteoporosis and hypoparathyroidism. Osteoporosis is characterized by reduced bone density and increased fracture risk, primarily affecting postmenopausal women and the elderly, while hypoparathyroidism leads to low calcium levels, resulting in various neurological and muscular complications. Recombinant PTH mimics the natural hormone's biological activity, promoting bone formation and increasing serum calcium levels. Early studies focused on its role in enhancing osteoblast activity to stimulate new bone formation. Clinical trials have demonstrated that rhPTH can significantly increase bone mineral density and reduce fracture risk, making it a promising option for managing osteoporosis. Additionally, rhPTH is investigated for its potential in treating hypoparathyroidism, as it can effectively raise serum calcium levels by acting on target organs. Despite its benefits, research continues to explore optimal dosing regimens, long-term effects, and specific patient populations that may benefit most. Overall, the understanding of rhPTH's mechanics, coupled with advancements in biotechnology, has paved the way for innovative treatment approaches in metabolic bone diseases, highlighting its importance in bone health management.
