简介
The EPHA5 protein is a multifunctional receptor tyrosine kinase that participates in bidirectional signaling with GPI-anchored ephrin-A ligands (especially EFNA5). EPHA5 exhibits positive signaling, affects axonal guidance during brain development, and promotes synaptic plasticity in the adult brain by regulating synaptogenesis. EPHA5 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived EPHA5 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EphA5 is a member of the Eph receptor tyrosine kinase family, which plays critical roles in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and neuronal development. The Eph receptors interact with their ligands, known as Ephrin-A and Ephrin-B, to mediate bidirectional signaling that is pivotal for tissue remodeling and the establishment of cellular boundaries. Research on EphA5 has gained significant interest due to its involvement in cancer progression and metastasis, where altered expression or activity can influence tumor growth and the metastatic potential of cancer cells. Additionally, EphA5 has been implicated in neurological disorders, making it a potential therapeutic target. The generation of recombinant EphA5 proteins has enabled researchers to elucidate its signaling mechanisms, study its role in various pathophysiological contexts, and explore its potential as a biomarker or target for drug development. As such, the study of EphA5 recombinant proteins is essential for advancing our understanding of its functional characteristics and developing strategies for intervention in diseases associated with aberrant EphA5 activity.
