Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHb15, or Protocadherin beta 15, is a member of the protocadherin family, which plays critical roles in neural development and function. This family of proteins is known for its unique structural characteristics and its involvement in the establishment of synaptic connections in the central nervous system. Research on PCDHb15 has gained importance due to its potential implications in neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. The expression of PCDHb15 is primarily observed in the inner ear and the nervous system, suggesting its role in auditory processing and neuronal differentiation. Studies have indicated that disruptions in PCDHb15 function could lead to hearing loss and other cognitive impairments. To investigate these functions and the molecular mechanisms underlying its activity, researchers have focused on the production and analysis of recombinant PCDHb15 proteins. Recombinant technology allows for the production of high-purity protein, enabling detailed studies of its cell adhesion properties, interaction with other cadherins, and downstream signaling pathways. Understanding the role of PCDHb15 in cellular contexts could provide insights into its contributions to both normal auditory function and potential pathologies, highlighting its relevance in biomedical research and therapeutic development. As research progresses, recombinant PCDHb15 is being utilized to unravel the complexities of its biological functions, paving the way for targeted therapies to address associated disorders.
