  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LCE3C (Late Cornified Envelope 3C) is a member of the LCE gene family, which plays a crucial role in the formation of the cornified envelope, a structural component of the skin's outermost layer, the stratum corneum. This layer is essential for barrier function, protecting against environmental insults and preventing water loss. Studies have identified LCE3C as being involved in skin homeostasis, differentiation, and immune response. Its expression is often upregulated in conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, indicating its potential role in inflammatory skin diseases. Additionally, LCE3C has been linked to the regulation of antimicrobial peptides, suggesting its involvement in innate immunity. The investigation of LCE3C recombinant protein is crucial for understanding its specific functions, interactions with other skin proteins, and potential therapeutic applications. Functional studies of LCE3C can offer insights into its contributions to skin health and disease, paving the way for innovative treatments for skin disorders that involve dysregulation of cornification and barrier function.
