Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MMP28, also known as membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase (MT-MMP), is a member of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family, known for its involvement in the degradation of extracellular matrix components. Unlike other MMPs, MMP28 is uniquely localized to the cell membrane, which facilitates its role in various biological processes, including tissue remodeling, cell migration, and apoptosis. Research has shown that MMP28 is particularly significant in cancer progression, wound healing, and inflammation. Its expression is often correlated with aggressive tumor behavior and poor prognosis in various cancers, suggesting that it may serve as a potential biomarker for malignancy. The recombinant protein of MMP28 has become a focus of study due to its potential therapeutic applications and ability to provide insight into the mechanisms of tumor invasion and metastasis. By utilizing recombinant technology, researchers can generate active MMP28 for in vitro studies, enabling a deeper understanding of its substrate specificity and regulatory mechanisms. This research contributes not only to the basic understanding of MMP biology but also to the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting MMP28 in cancer and other diseases involving extracellular matrix remodeling. Overall, the investigation of MMP28 as a recombinant protein holds promise for both basic and applied biomedical research, paving the way for innovative approaches in cancer treatment and tissue engineering.
