Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRTAP9-8, a member of the keratin-associated protein (KRTAP) family, plays a significant role in the structural integrity and mechanical properties of hair and skin. Research on KRTAPs has gained momentum due to their importance in establishing hair follicle integrity, influencing hair texture, and contributing to diseases like alopecia and other dermatological conditions. KRTAP9-8, specifically, is known to be involved in the formation of the hair shaft, with its expression closely linked to the keratinization process in developing hair follicles. The study of KRTAP9-8 at the molecular level can provide insights into the mechanisms underlying various hair disorders and potential targets for therapeutic interventions. Additionally, recombinant protein production of KRTAP9-8 enables in-depth investigations into its functional properties, interactions with other keratins, and its role in the overall skin and hair biology. Understanding KRTAP9-8 could pave the way for advancements in both cosmetic applications and clinical treatments related to hair and skin health, thereby highlighting its significance in both basic and applied biological research.
