  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MSP (Mannose-Binding Protein) is a crucial component of the innate immune system, playing a significant role in pathogen recognition and elimination. Research on MSP has gained momentum due to its potential implications in immunology, infectious diseases, and therapeutic development. MSP is involved in the opsonization of pathogens, facilitating their clearance by immune cells through the activation of the complement system and the enhancement of phagocytosis. Abnormalities in MSP function have been linked to increased susceptibility to infections and immune disorders. Consequently, understanding the molecular structure, binding mechanisms, and regulatory pathways of MSP can provide insights into its dual role as both a protective agent in immune responses and a player in the inflammatory process. Recent advances in recombinant technology have enabled the production of MSP in vitro, paving the way for detailed studies of its function and interactions with various pathogens. Furthermore, the exploration of MSP's role in vaccine development and targeted therapies highlights its importance in the fight against infectious diseases. As researchers continue to uncover the complexities of MSP, this protein holds promise for novel therapeutic strategies that harness its immune-modulating properties.
