Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRTAP12-3, a member of the keratin-associated protein (KRTAP) family, plays a significant role in the structure and function of hair and skin. This family of proteins is known for its involvement in the formation and stabilization of the outermost layer of the epidermis, specifically in the composition of hair fibers and animal pelts. Increased interest in KRTAP12-3 has arisen due to its potential implications in various dermatological conditions, hair growth disorders, and in the textile industry for the production of specialty fibers. Research on KRTAP12-3 has focused on its molecular structure, expression patterns, and interactions with keratin proteins, contributing to the understanding of hair follicle biology and skin integrity. Additionally, studies have investigated the genetic regulation of KRTAP12-3 in different hair types, revealing its possible association with traits such as hair texture and strength. Despite its significance, there is still limited knowledge regarding the precise biochemical pathways and regulatory mechanisms involved in KRTAP12-3 function, warranting further exploration of this unique protein to uncover its role in health and disease. Through recombinant protein technology, researchers aim to produce KRTAP12-3 to study its properties and enhance the understanding of its function in the human body as well as its application in biotechnology and cosmetics. The ongoing research may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting hair and skin disorders, highlighting the importance of KRTAP12-3 in both fundamental science and practical applications.
