Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), commonly known as serotonin, has garnered significant attention in neuroscience and pharmacology due to its pivotal role as a neurotransmitter in regulating mood, emotion, and various physiological functions. Research into 5-HT reconstitution proteins focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of serotonin signaling and its implications in mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia. The production of recombinant 5-HT proteins allows for detailed investigation into the receptor interactions, binding affinities, and downstream signaling pathways that 5-HT engages in within the central nervous system. By expressing and purifying these proteins in a laboratory setting, researchers can explore the structural and functional properties of serotonin receptors, facilitating the development of targeted therapies aimed at modulating serotonin levels and improving mental health outcomes. Furthermore, this research contributes to the broader understanding of the serotonergic system, its biological significance, and its potential as a therapeutic target in treating a range of neurological and psychiatric conditions. Overall, the exploration of 5-HT reconstitution proteins represents a vital intersection of molecular biology, neuroscience, and pharmacology, with the promise of advancing our knowledge and treatment of serotonin-related disorders.
