Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SDC2, or Syndecan-2, is a member of the syndecan family of heparan sulfate proteoglycans, which play crucial roles in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling pathways. Recent studies have highlighted its importance in various physiological and pathological processes, including cancer progression, wound healing, and inflammation. The protein is primarily expressed in mesenchymal tissues, and its expression levels can be upregulated in response to specific stimuli, making it a potential biomarker for disease states. Research into the recombinant expression of SDC2 has gained momentum, as it allows for the detailed study of its structure-function relationships and biological activities in vitro and in vivo. The ability to produce SDC2 as a recombinant protein facilitates investigations into its interactions with other cellular components, such as growth factors, extracellular matrix proteins, and co-receptors, thereby elucidating its role in tumorigenesis and tissue remodeling. Furthermore, understanding the mechanisms of SDC2's regulatory activities may provide insights into novel therapeutic strategies for targeting syndecan-mediated pathways in diseases. As such, the production and characterization of recombinant SDC2 is of significant interest in both basic and translational research, paving the way for innovative approaches to manipulate its activity for therapeutic benefit.
