Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The K6HF recombinant protein is a variant of the human keratin 6 (K6) family, which plays a crucial role in the structural integrity and function of epithelial cells, particularly in the skin, hair, and nails. Keratins are essential components of intermediate filaments and contribute to cellular stability, protection against mechanical stress, and regulation of various cellular processes. Research on K6HF has gained attention due to its potential involvement in skin disorders and conditions such as keratoderma and psoriasis. Understanding the expression, structure, and function of K6HF can provide insights into the pathophysiology of these diseases and help in the development of targeted therapies. Moreover, as a recombinant protein, K6HF can be produced in controlled environments, facilitating the study of its biochemical properties and interactions with other cellular components. This research is essential not only for basic science but also for potential applications in regenerative medicine and biotechnology, where keratin-based materials could be utilized for wound healing and tissue engineering. Overall, the study of K6HF recombinant protein is significant for elucidating the complexities of keratin biology and its implications in health and disease.
