Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DEFa6, a member of the defensin family, is an important protein involved in the immune response, characterized by its antimicrobial properties. Research into DEFa6 has gained momentum due to its potential role in innate immunity and host defense mechanisms. This protein is predominantly expressed in epithelial tissues, particularly in the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts, where it acts as a first line of defense against pathogens. The modulation of DEFa6 expression has been linked to various physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation and infection, making it a focus of interest in immunological studies. Furthermore, understanding the structural and functional aspects of DEFa6 can provide insights into its mechanism of action and its interaction with microbial entities. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of DEFa6 in laboratory settings, facilitating detailed studies on its biological functions and therapeutic applications. Such research could lead to innovative strategies for developing new antimicrobial agents or treatments for diseases associated with dysregulated immune responses. Overall, the investigation of DEFa6 not only enhances our comprehension of the complexities of the immune system but also opens up avenues for novel clinical applications to combat infectious diseases.
