Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IFT57 is a crucial component of the intraflagellar transport (IFT) machinery, which is essential for the assembly and maintenance of cilia and flagella in eukaryotic cells. Cilia are organelles that play vital roles in various biological processes, including cell signaling, motility, and sensory perception. Dysfunction in cilia and their related pathways can lead to a range of diseases, collectively known as ciliopathies, which can affect multiple organ systems, including the kidneys, eyes, and central nervous system. IFT57 is part of the IFT complex, responsible for the bidirectional transport of proteins along the axoneme of cilia. Research on IFT57 has focused on its structural and functional roles within the IFT complex, as well as its interactions with other IFT proteins and cargo molecules. Understanding the mechanisms by which IFT57 operates could provide insights into ciliary assembly and maintenance, potentially leading to therapeutic strategies for ciliopathies. Additionally, studies involving recombinant IFT57 protein facilitate the exploration of its biochemical properties, interactions, and the influence of mutations associated with human diseases. Overall, ongoing research on IFT57 and its role in ciliary dynamics is critical for elucidating the intricate processes governing cilia function and the implications of ciliary dysfunction in human health.
