Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MCM2 (Minichromosome Maintenance 2) is a crucial component of the eukaryotic DNA replication machinery, functioning as a part of the MCM complex that plays a pivotal role in the initiation and regulation of DNA replication. Research on MCM2 and its associated proteins has gained significant attention due to their essential functions in ensuring proper cell cycle progression and genomic stability. Dysregulation of MCM proteins, including overexpression or mutations, has been linked to various cancers and other diseases, making them critical targets for therapeutic intervention. The study of recombinant MCM2 proteins enables researchers to investigate their biochemical properties, interaction with other replication factors, and role in the replication process. Moreover, the purification and characterization of MCM2 in vitro provide insights into its function and regulatory mechanisms, which are essential for understanding tumorigenesis and developing novel cancer treatments. Additionally, the exploration of MCM2's role in the DNA damage response and repair pathways further emphasizes its significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Thus, the research on MCM2 has broad implications for cell biology, cancer research, and therapeutic developments, highlighting its importance as a model protein for understanding the complexities of DNA replication and repair.
