Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Akr1c13, a member of the aldo-keto reductase (AKR) superfamily, has garnered attention due to its potential roles in steroid metabolism, drug metabolism, and cellular detoxification processes. The enzyme exhibits substrate specificity towards various biologically relevant compounds, including steroids and xenobiotics, making it significant for understanding metabolic pathways and their implications in health and disease. Recent studies suggest that Akr1c13 may play a crucial role in modulating the effects of hormones and drugs, potentially influencing therapeutic outcomes and the development of side effects. Moreover, its expression patterns in different tissues and under various physiological conditions have raised interest in its function in endocrine regulation and cancer biology. Investigating the recombinant protein of Akr1c13 enables researchers to dissect its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and regulatory mechanisms at a molecular level. By producing this protein in heterologous systems, scientists can perform functional assays, elucidate structure-function relationships, and evaluate the impact of genetic variations on its activity. The findings from Akr1c13 research underscore its relevance in fields such as pharmacology, endocrinology, and toxicology, providing insights into potential therapeutic targets and biomarker development for various diseases.
