Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HORMAD2, or Hormone-Related Protein 2, is a critical player in the process of meiosis, particularly in the context of homologous recombination and the formation of synaptonemal complexes. This protein is primarily expressed in germ cells and is essential for the proper alignment and pairing of homologous chromosomes during meiosis, which is vital for successful gametogenesis. Abnormal expression or function of HORMAD2 can lead to issues such as infertility, aneuploidy, and various reproductive disorders. Recent studies have shown that HORMAD2 interacts with other key proteins involved in meiotic processes, highlighting its role in facilitating the double-strand break repair mechanisms necessary for genetic diversity. Moreover, understanding the structure and function of HORMAD2, particularly through the study of its recombinant protein, could provide insights into the molecular underpinnings of fertility and the potential for developing targeted therapeutic strategies for reproductive health issues. The recombinant expression of HORMAD2 allows researchers to investigate its biochemical properties and interactions in a controlled environment, further unraveling its contribution to the complex network of meiotic regulation. Given the importance of preserving genomic integrity during meiosis, the study of HORMAD2 and its associated pathways remains a significant area of research with promising implications for both basic biology and clinical applications.
